Model Evaluasi Sumatif Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam pada Kurikulum Merdeka di SMK Batik 1 Surakarta

Abstract
Evaluation is an essential process in decision-making based on an assessment. In the context of learning, evaluation becomes an integral part of the teaching and learning process. One form of evaluation commonly used by teachers, particularly in the implementation of the independent curriculum, is summative evaluation. This summative evaluation is conducted at the end of each semester and can be carried out through exams or other non-test evaluation methods. This study employs a descriptive method, collecting data through interviews, observations, and library research. In the subject of Islamic Education at SMK Batik 1 Surakarta, summative evaluation tends to take the form of tests, both oral and written. Through this summative evaluation, teachers have the opportunity to assess the progress of each student. The results of this evaluation can then be considered in the decision-making process related to the promotion of students to the next level. More specifically, summative evaluation in Islamic Education provides a comprehensive overview of students' understanding and abilities in the subject. The conclusions drawn from this evaluation not only reflect the students' achievements but also serve as a foundation for teachers in designing more effective teaching strategies in the future.
