Asuhan Keperawatan Post Laparotomi Kanker Ovarium pada Ny. M di Ruang Arafah 3 RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Kota Banda Aceh

Abstract

Ovarian cancer is the third most common cancer in women and causes death. The purpose of this study was to expound the nursing care of post-laparotomy ovarian cancer patients in Mrs. M in Arafah ward 3 at dr. Zainoel Abidin Hospital. The first diagnosis was ineffective peripheral perfusion, the implementation was accomplished in the form of nutraceutical education and 4 kolf blood transfusion, the evaluation results after 3 days of treatment, haemoglobin levels increased from 4.9 g / dL to 11.0 g / dL. The second diagnosis was hypervolemia, ankle pumping therapy was performed combined with 30ᵒ leg elevation, the evaluation found that edema did not decrease. The third diagnosis was nutritional deficit, modifications to food ingredients, schedules, portions and food textures are carried out, the results show that the portion of food increases. The fourth diagnosis was activity intolerance, right and left tilt mobilization was carried out every 2 hours, the patient was found to be able to sit on the bed. The fifth diagnosis was helplessness, the action was to actively involve the patient and the patient’s family in the care and develop a care plan, the results obtained that the patient’s family had understood how to care for the patient. It is also recommended that health workers should apply nursing care in accordance with Evidence Based Practices (EBP) with the cases handled.
