Analisis Work Readiness pada Mahasiswa Tingkat Akhir: Peran Motivasi, Pengalaman Kerja Praktis, dan Keterampilan Sosial
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to measure the level of work readiness among final-year students. The background of this research lies in the phenomenon of insufficient preparedness among university graduates to face the workforce. Using a quantitative method with a correlational design, the study involved 110 final-year students as respondents. Data were collected through an online questionnaire using a Likert scale adapted from the Work Readiness Scale (WRS) by Caballero et al. (2011). The analysis revealed that 91.8% of students exhibited high work readiness levels, 6.4% low levels, and 1.8% moderate levels. Factors influencing work readiness include motivation, personal maturity, technical competence, social intelligence, and organizational awareness. Most students feel prepared to face workplace challenges, despite obstacles such as limited practical experience and adaptability to new work environments. The reliability test of the scale indicated excellent consistency with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.940. These findings highlight the importance of practical skill development programs, internships, and career training in universities to enhance students' work readiness. This study contributes to the field of psychology, particularly social and career development psychology, and serves as a reference for future research.
