Evaluasi Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMA 1 Gemolong: Analisis Kurikulum Merdeka

Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning within the Merdeka Curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Gemolong. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation techniques. The research subjects consist of PAI teachers, 11th and 12th-grade students, and the school principal. The results show that PAI teachers have played an effective role as facilitators in encouraging active student participation by using more interactive and flexible teaching methods, in accordance with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum. However, several challenges have been encountered by teachers, such as difficulties in adapting to new teaching methods, limited resources, and a lack of supporting facilities. Students' perceptions of PAI learning vary, with most feeling motivated by the independent approach, while others need more time to adjust to the applied learning methods. This evaluation also reveals that lesson planning aligns with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum, but its implementation still requires continuous support, such as enhancing teachers' competencies through training and providing adequate facilities and infrastructure.
