Program Monitoring Siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta

Abstract
Adolescence is a phase where young people explore their identities and experiment with new experiences, making proper supervision essential. At SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta, supervisory initiatives have been established to help achieve educational goals and fulfill the school's responsibility to guide its students. This study investigates how these supervision programs are implemented in the institution. Using qualitative research methods, the study collected data through interviews and document reviews. The findings indicate that when students violate rules, the consequences are designed to be constructive rather than purely punitive, emphasizing the development of students' honesty and sense of responsibility. The school employs various monitoring approaches, including tracking students' religious practices, supervising general behavior, conducting home visits, and using suspension when necessary. Beyond monitoring behavior within the school environment, the school also strives to instill a broader sense of responsibility that extends into students' daily lives. These monitoring programs reflect the school's commitment to helping students develop accountability both to the school community and to themselves.
