Abstract
This study aims to examine the evaluation of students' character development at SMP Negeri 1 Jumantono. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with teachers, students, and school officials to gather in-depth information regarding the implementation of character development evaluation at the school. Observations were made in classrooms and the school environment to assess students' social interactions and behaviors. Documentation collected included records of school activities related to character evaluation. The data was then analyzed using descriptive analysis to portray and understand the conditions on the ground. The results of this study indicate that the evaluation of character development at SMP Negeri 1 Jumantono involves various parties and approaches, including direct observation of students' behavior and activities that support character formation. This study provides important contributions to the understanding of character development evaluation practices at the school, highlighting aspects such as discipline, responsibility, empathy, and mutual respect among students.
