Strategi Pengambilan Keputusan yang Efektif Dalam Pengelolaan Pabrik Tahu Sumedang Alya di Karawang

Abstract
Effective decision-making is a crucial factor in the success of managing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), especially in the face of rapidly changing market dynamics. This article examines the decision-making process undertaken by the owner of a tofu factory in Karawang, which has been operating since the 1990s. The factory, now managed by the next generation, faces significant challenges, including market changes, increasing competition, and the substantial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Using in-depth interviews, this study reveals how strategic decisions were made to sustain and grow the business, including the decision to shift from selling in malls and rest areas to mobile sales using a cart. This decision was influenced by various factors, including the need to adapt to changing market conditions and find ways to reach consumers more efficiently. The article also emphasizes the importance of intent, honesty, and innovation in ensuring the sustainability and growth of the business, which forms the foundation of the decision-making process. The findings of this study provide insights into how MSME managers can make the right decisions to tackle challenges and seize existing opportunities.
