Simulasi Routing Dinamis Menggunakan OSPF di SMK Negeri 4 Palembang pada Cisco Packet Tracer

Abstract
This study aims to simulate the implementation of the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) protocol using Cisco Packet Tracer software, which enables dynamic and efficient network management. The simulation was conducted by designing a network topology that represents the infrastructure at SMK Negeri 4 Palembang, involving several routers, switches, and end devices. The testing focused on network performance, including throughput, packet loss, and delay, to evaluate the effectiveness of OSPF in managing data flow. OSPF configuration was carried out using CLI on the routers, with multiple OSPF areas used to divide the network into more manageable segments. The simulation results showed that OSPF can update the routing table quickly and efficiently, even when topology changes occur, such as link failures or the addition of new devices. Performance parameters, such as throughput averaging 850 kbps, low packet loss rates under 5%, and stable delay around 2 ms, indicated that this protocol is highly suitable for networks with high load and reliability requirements in an educational environment. This simulation also demonstrated OSPF's ability to maintain network stability by automatically rerouting traffic to alternative paths in the event of a disruption to the primary path.
