Pendekatan Peer Support Intervention pada Pasien Isolasi Sosial

Abstract
Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterized by distortion of thinking that affects language, perception, emotions, feelings and behavior. Social isolation is one of the nursing diagnoses that arises due to the negative symptoms of schizophrenia. Social isolation is characterized by aloofness, loneliness and decreased behavioral function, thinking and ability to interact. This case study aims to determine the effectiveness of Peer Support Intervention in patients with social isolation. The method used is providing nursing care for 6 days with a duration of 40 minutes per meeting through the implementation of generalist therapy (SP 1-1V) and Peer Support Intervention intervention with emotional, informational, instrumental and affiliate support. The results of the case study showed that after being given the intervention, the patient was able to accept the presence of friends well, was happy and was able to interact with other people in everyday life. Patients also feel their loneliness begins to decrease. The hope is that the room nurses at the Aceh Mental Hospital will continue the therapy so that the application of the Peer Support Intervention approach is more optimal as a support in the implementation of generalist therapy (SP I-IV). Implementation of Peer Support Intervention can increase patient interaction, increase patient self-esteem and reduce loneliness in socially isolated patients.
