Efek Emotional Focused Coping terhadap Psychological Well-Being Guru di Sekolah X di Kota Bekasi

Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of Emotional Focused Coping on the Psychological Well-Being of teachers at School X located in Bekasi City. Teachers often face pressure and challenges in their profession, making the ability to manage emotions essential for maintaining mental and psychological balance. This research employs a quantitative approach with a causal associative method, aiming to explore the cause and effect relationship between the two variables. The sample consisted of 117 teachers from School X, selected using a total sampling technique, in which the entire population was included as the sample. The instruments used were psychological scales measuring emotional focused coping and psychological well-being. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression. The results indicate a significant influence of emotional focused coping on psychological well-being, with an R² value of 0.141, suggesting that approximately 14.1% of the variance in psychological well-being can be explained by emotional focused coping. These findings imply that the more effectively teachers apply emotional focused coping strategies, the higher their level of psychological well-being. However, the results also indicate that other factors besides emotional focused coping contribute to teachers’ psychological well-being.
