Kontekstualisasi QS. Al-Isra Ayat 32: Perspektif Tafsir Al-Azhar

Abstract
This study aims to examine the contextualization of QS. Al-Isra verse 32 regarding the prohibition of approaching adultery (zina) from the perspective of Tafsir Al-Azhar by Buya Hamka, using a descriptive qualitative method and a library research approach. The findings reveal that Hamka interprets the prohibition of "taqrabu" (approach) comprehensively and contextually by considering historical, social, and cultural aspects. This prohibition is not only understood literally but also encompasses preventive measures against all forms of behavior and environments that may lead to adultery, such as promiscuity, the influence of media and technology, and weak educational systems and moral values. This interpretation is highly relevant to the growing deviant behaviors among youth due to globalization and the development of digital technology. Hamka emphasizes the importance of a preventive approach through character education, active roles of families and communities, and the creation of a social environment conducive to moral development. The practical implications of this study include strengthening educational policies based on Islamic values, formulating Islamic-based sexuality education programs, developing da’wah strategies that are adaptive to contemporary challenges, and optimizing the role of social institutions in nurturing public morality.
