Penggunaan Canva sebagai Alat Bantu Desain untuk Instagram Sapras Dinas PUPR Palembang

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of using Canva as a design tool to create social media content on Instagram in the Facilities and Infrastructure Division (SAPRAS) of the PUPR Office of Palembang. The background of this research is the current public need to share information in an interesting, communicative, and consistent manner through digital media, especially social media. Canva is a template-based design tool that is popular because it is easy to use for non-designers to create visually appealing content without requiring extensive technical knowledge. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection through observation, content documentation, and literature analysis from various academic sources related to the use of Canva in governmental and non-governmental organizations. Research shows that using Canva significantly improves visual quality, speeds up content production, and enhances the consistency of SAPRAS's visual identity in public spaces. However, the study also identifies non-technical characteristics, such as limited time and organization, as well as technical characteristics, such as staff understanding of Canva's features and its complexity. This research indicates that the success of Canva is not solely due to the tool itself but also requires clear communication strategies, productive employees, and strong infrastructure support.
