Abstract

This study adopts a qualitative approach to examine the effectiveness of the post-P2TL monitoring process in reducing electricity usage violations at PLN ULP Ampera. Data collection was conducted through direct observation during an internship, interviews with relevant stakeholders, and analysis of pertinent documents. The findings indicate that post-P2TL monitoring plays a crucial role in ensuring customer compliance with electricity usage regulations. This monitoring serves not only a corrective function by addressing violations but also a preventive one by deterring potential future infractions. Its effectiveness is reflected in the reduction of violation cases, supported by a well-structured work system, regular reporting, active involvement of field officers, and strong inter-divisional coordination. However, this process still faces several challenges, including limited digitalization, insufficient personnel, and a lack of customer education regarding the rules and consequences of violations. Strengthening the use of information technology, enhancing human resource capacity, and intensifying public outreach are essential steps forward. The internship program, conducted within the scope of this research, provided valuable insights into the importance of continuous and integrated electricity system supervision.
