Abstract

A smart home is a concept that integrates technology into household management to provide convenience and security for its inhabitants. In this journal, we conduct a review of smart home technology and how it can bring ease and security to everyday life. One crucial aspect of a smart home is the security system. Embedded system technology is highly suitable for implementation in smart home system design due to its software enhancement capabilities. Security systems in smart homes may include the use of sensors, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems connected to the internet. This allows homeowners to monitor the status of their homes in real-time and take necessary actions in case of suspicious incidents. In this review, we also discuss some challenges faced in the development of smart home technology, such as data security and user privacy. In an increasingly interconnected digital era, it is essential to ensure that users' personal data is secure and not misused. Therefore, efforts are needed to develop robust security systems that protect user privacy.
