Abstract

Artwork is a priceless work. Songs are one of the works of art that have great benefits for connoisseurs. In the modern era, the development of song variations has developed rapidly. In general, songs are used for fun and entertainment only. With the development of the times, now songs have a variety of variations and emotions of various types in each lyric. Making songs as a tool to convey the feelings and circumstances of the author to the audience of listeners. The classification of emotions in the lyrics of the song "Sad Soul" allows the listener of the song to deepen the meaning of the emotions contained in the song. This study used descriptive qualitative research method. Thereare words and sentences. Qualitative analysis focuses on revealing the meaning, description, clarification, and placement of data in its own context. The results of the classification of emotions obtained show that the song "Sad Soul" describes feelings of sadness, confusion when facing a difficult journey and life challenges. The meaning presented produces feelings of confusion, sadness, solitude, fatigue, a sense of disrecognition, and a sense of optimism.
