Perancangan Database pada Toko Buku Online

Abstract
The main objective of this research is to elucidate the significance of database design in facilitating the online purchasing and sales processes for consumers. Additionally, the article delves into the implementation of methodologies involved in developing a new system, encompassing concepts such as Normalization, ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram), and the utilization of file databases. In order to yield a deeper understanding, the research methodology employed integrates direct observation, literature review, and detailed investigation. Field research involves observation and interviews, allowing researchers to gain deeper insights into how the system is implemented in day-to-day practice. Meanwhile, library research refers to relevant literature that supports the issues raised in the article. The proposed database design for generating reports has proven to enhance data compilation efficiency, saving time and effort. This article firmly emphasizes the significance of an efficient database structure in simplifying online transaction processes, while advocating for the adoption of modern methodologies in business development within the digital era. The database design and methodologies play a crucial role in enhancing performance and operational efficiency in the increasingly complex e-commerce landscape.
