Peranan Database Dalam Pembuatan Sistem Informasi e-Commerce

Abstract
The utilization of the internet in Indonesia has reached the eighth rank globally, opening significant business opportunities across various sectors. E-commerce, as a form of online business, has proven its efficiency in reducing costs and time through electronic transactions. In this context, the role of the database becomes crucial to ensure the smooth operational flow of e-commerce. This study employs a descriptive approach that focuses on exploring the research methods used in the context of e-commerce. The database plays a pivotal role in the success of online trading platforms. Its ability to store, manage, and analyze data on a large scale rapidly makes it a determinant factor in operational efficiency. Integrating databases into e-commerce facilitates transactions and operations with high levels of efficiency, convenience, and speed. The collaboration between information systems and databases establishes a strong foundation for the success of e-commerce. In conclusion, this research underscores the vital role of databases in supporting operational aspects and the success of e-commerce, with the potential for wide application in modern business platforms.
