Implementasi Multimedia dalam Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) untuk Visualisasi Data Spasial

Abstract
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are among the most essential technologies for managing and analyzing spatial data. However, GIS often faces challenges in presenting information in a way that is both interactive and engaging for users. This study aims to explore the potential of integrating multimedia elements such as images, audio, video, and animation into GIS as a means to enhance the quality of spatial data visualization. The research employs a literature review method by examining various relevant scientific sources related to the incorporation of multimedia technologies into spatial information systems. The findings indicate that the integration of multimedia elements in GIS not only enriches visual communication but also improves user experience and facilitates the interpretation of complex spatial data. Multimedia integration significantly contributes to the development of GIS systems that are more interactive, informative, and user-friendly. This study provides a solid foundation for further exploration in the advancement of modern GIS that is responsive to user needs
