Penerapan Terapi Warna (Chromotherapy) dengan Halusinasi Penglihatan

Abstract
Hallucination is one of the symptoms acute psychosis. A change in sensory perception such as feeling false sensations are regularly experienced by sufferers of hallucinations. Patients commonly with visual hallucinations will see shadows either scary or pleasant shadows. In this situation, if it is not handled properly, it can cause feelings of inadequacy, weakness, and excessive fear so that it can lead to maladaptive responses such as harming oneself and others, violent behaviour to suicide. This case study aimed to expound nursing care with the implementation of general therapy and a chromotherapy at the Aceh Mental Hospital. The method used was a case study with the provision of general therapy for 6 days and chromotherapy for 3 days. The results of this study showed a decrease in the intensity of visual hallucinations after general therapy and chromotherapy were accomplished, namely 4 times in the first meeting to 0 in the last meeting. The patient also felt calmer, increased focus and concentration, good eye contact, no longer withdrawn and expressions in accordance with the feelings conveyed. It can be concluded that general therapy and chromotherapy can reduce signs and symptoms of hallucinations. It is also recommended that nurses at the Aceh Mental Hospital should provide nursing care with modifications of general therapy and chromotherapy to hallucinatory patients so that they can optimize the recovery process in patients.
