Asuhan Keperawatan pada Pasien dengan ST Elevasi Miokard Infark (STEMI) di Ruang ICCU Rumah Sakit Umum d Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh: Studi Kasus
Main Article Content
Abstract
ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) is caused by atherosclerosis in the coronary arteries or other factors that can lead to an imbalance between the supply and demand for oxygen in the myocardium. The diagnosis of STEMI can be established if there are complaints of acute angina pectoris accompanied by persistent ST-segment elevation in two adjacent leads on the ECG recording. This case study aims to provide holistic nursing care using the nursing process approach for patients with STEMI in the Intensive Cardiology Care Unit (ICCU) of Dr. Zainoel Abidin General Hospital, Banda Aceh. This research is a case study in implementing nursing care for patients. The main nursing care planning and implementation required include pain management, cardiac care, and electrolyte monitoring. The interventions successfully reduced the pain level from 8/10 to 3/10 through effective pain management. Hemodynamic stability was achieved with regular blood pressure and heart rate, and the use of nitroglycerin (drip NTG) improved peripheral perfusion and oxygen saturation. Serum potassium levels increased from 3.3 mmol/L to 3.8 mmol/L without signs of dehydration or overhydration. Continuous monitoring and education for patients and families on heart condition management post-discharge are essential.
